My Life in the Cement PLant

I used to work at Titan Cement Manufacturing Corp. from 1989 until it closed down in 1999. I had many happy memories there. My co-workers were kind and humble and we all worked very hard.The story was start when my bro.in Law,who employed in FR cement -Pasig-Metro Mla. telling me about the opening of Titan cement in Tanay,Rizal.I think this the second time that I will referring by my bro.in Law.The first experience is when I work as a checker in Red Ball Transport Corp.And I always visiting a cement plant in Teresa,Rizal to check and assist our Trucks status during-hauling clinker from Teresa to Pasig plant.I was feeling happy for this daily routine with almost 2 months until the next january-1983.A nationwide mass lay-off was proclaim and effectively implement in all industrial companies and stop my first career-for this time.And again,I come back in Alabang for a few weeks and spent my vacation at my sis.home.Until this second chance has come:Last July 19,1989, I submit a resume biodata with a ref.letter for Mr.Alcantara and he lead me to proceed to Mr.Butch Aquino,The Admin.manager and he told me to come back at next day for job appointment and training.At the next day-I was assign in the mill section and make a tour at the plant -building- equipments-machineries and inform me each usage and functions by my new collegue-Mr.Mangona.At the 2nd hour,we used to do housekeeping job by removing the cement spillages beneath the dischage end of ballmill-flooring.In the lunch break,I was friendly follow to Zaldy Aguila,an eng'r trainee also to take our lunch infront restaurant at the main gate of the plant.And in the late afternoon milling operation is resume-for few hours and observe the rotating ballmill.And make a visit to the equipments at 3rd floor of the building-the bucket elevator,dust collector,air separator,air slide conv.,screw conv.and the flows of finish cement to the kinyon pump to transport pipe leading to cement silos at the back of Pack house-section.But it was stop after few hrs.due to bucket elev.mech'l trouble.

Life in the heart of Manila: Father's Day

Last sunday night,we've to visit for the second time the Greenbelt -Makati with my family after for so long years when I was still a student here in Manila.My daughter had a gift certificates to be used for free dinner at Red Crab restaurant located at the second floor of the complex.They serve us their special delicacies like sea crabs parts,roasted hito,a tahoong soup,la paella +shanghai rice+lemon juices.

The place is now crowded with customers for this days fathers celebration.Somebody is playing a piano and sings in the middle of the area about the songs of the late 80's.Feeling so comfort and relax for tonights dinner while watching some foreigners with their filipino wives and kids.



We have to scroll at other side of the complex and ice cream treat at Italian - Gelato. I enjoyed my ice cream. It was sweet and cool flavor of chocolate, my wife mango and my duaghter blueberry at P100 per scoop expensive but perfect.



Lots of foreign people standby,dining and drinking beer in cans at nearby cocktail lounge entertained by sexy women in shortpants.Thought,this place become an Ermita Extention today for this beautiful scenery and bussiness from Manila.
